BAD CRIB HURT MY BABY!!!!!!!!! February 28, 2006 Reviewer:  HURT MY BABY "Dawn B" (Beaumont, TX, USA)  See all my reviews >

WARNING TO ANYONE WHO BUYS THIS CRIB!!! This bed was a beautiful bed for the price. When I first got it there was a alot of dings and scratches on it, also the safty piece that keeps the railng up was broke. So I called storkcraft to send me the parts and it took them 3 week to get it to me. Then after having the bed not even a year the safety catch broke that holds the front railing on, and my daughters arm got stuck in between the railing and the mattress and almost broke her arm!!! So to play it safe and you don't want to hurt your children DO NOT BUY THIS CRIB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buying a second one this month May 4, 2006 Reviewer:  Repeat Customer "Nichole L" (Cedar Falls, IA)  See all my reviews >

We purchased this crib for our first baby in 2004. We have since transitioned the crib into a daybed for her. We have been pleased with durability and look, so much so we are buying a second one for the next baby this month. It is a challenge to assemble, but is worth it!

beautiful crib February 6, 2006 Reviewer:  Anxious Mom See all my reviews >

My husband and I just put this crib together last night and we love it. We had no problems with the drawer being out of line like other reviews, it fit perfect and the crib is very sturdy. The only downfall were the instructions. Make sure that you pull out all of the inserts from the individual bags containing the screws and such. The instructions on the mattress support do not contain all of the instructions and you have to refer to the individual instructions for certain stages of the assembly. I would recommend this crib to other new parents. We are excited to use this for our April baby.

Wonderful crib, highly recommend it! January 10, 2007 Reviewer:  mommy2be "mommy2be" (WA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this crib but in the Oak color. It is an awesome crib especially for the price. I was put on bed rest so I couldn't go and look at cribs. Instead I researched and heard wonderful things about this one. All of the things were true. It was easy to assemble, beautiful and very sturdy. The drop down system is really easy to use. This is a high quality crib for the price. I would recommend it to anyone.

Not thrilled September 24, 2007 Reviewer:  Dolly Quinn "DQ" (Long Beach, NY)  See all my reviews >

I do not feel safe with this crib. It is a little shaky and all the hardware is in correctly. There are two small metal pieces that insert on the bottom of the drop down and they always fall out. This makes me nervous. It was not that hard to put together you just have to have patience. My son is now a year old now, he rolls all around when he sleeps and when he hits the sides it makes a lot of noise and sometimes wakes him. It sounds like it is going to fall apart. He also shakes the drop down when he gets up and I am always afraid he is going to unlock it and fall out. Not as sturdy of a crib as others I have seen. I regret my choice.

Very pleased Oklahoma Grandma April 1, 2007 Reviewer:  A. Braxton Real Name (Oklahoma City, OK, USA)  See all my reviews >

Excellent crib! Beautiful color, very sturdy, drawer is great for extra storage space, and crib goes well with all other natural furniture (even other brands)! Our son had no problems putting the crib together; all the parts were there, no broken pieces, and the directions being right on the crib was great! Having the bed rails for conversion to full size bed come with the crib at this time was great too so they won't need to bought later. We are ALL pleased with this crib and recommend it to anyone looking for a great value and excellent quality crib.

Wasn't this crib recalled??! February 1, 2009 Reviewer:  GiaNYC "Gia" (NYC)  See all my reviews >

Wasn't this crib recalled?

"We are writing to let you know that Stork Craft Manufacturing Inc. is voluntarily recalling all its cribs manufactured between May 2000 and November 2008, and sold between May 2000 and January 2009, due to a product defect.

The metal support brackets used to support the crib mattress and mattress board can crack and break. When one or more support brackets break, the mattress can collapse and create a dangerous gap between the mattress and crib rails, in which a child can become entrapped and suffocate.

Here are the item numbers and UPC codes for the recalled cribs, which you can find on the assembly instruction sheet attached to the mattress support board:

ROCHESTER CRIB-NAT
2667508
5692707485 "

(among many other Stork Craft models)

Looks nice, that's about it January 20, 2008 Reviewer:  not pleased mommy See all my reviews >

I loved the look of this bed. That is where it ended. It was difficult to put together and HAD to be assembled in the room because it wouldn't fit through the door. The drawer didn't go on very well so we just left it off completely. The dropping side rail didn't work properly so we could never lower it. I am a very short woman and the distance over the rail to the mattress made it almost impossible to keep my daughter asleep trying to lay her down without the lowered rail. Also, the curved design of the sides of the bed made it difficult to attach a mobile. If you put it where it is flat then it isn't hanging directly over the baby. And the over sized mattress is VERY HEAVY!
I'm sure if the side rail had lowed then it would have been much easier to change the sheets, but since it didn't I had to practically fight to get the mattress out of the bed to put a new sheet on. I also did not like having to keep up with all the extra parts and hardware to convert it into a daybed or full head board/foot board. When we did convert it into a head board/ foot board the frame we had was not compatible with the layout of the screw holes so we ended up not using it at all and using a head board/foot board from my parents. I would not recommend this bed to anyone.

Absolutely love it April 10, 2007 Reviewer:  Young but great mom (Akron, Ohio)  See all my reviews >

Once again I choose a great item. This crib goes great with the other furniture I bought. The extra storage underneath is great. I store toys and clothes that don't fit her yet in it. I love the color of it as well.
